Season 1 (2005)

Season 8 (2011-2012)

The series was renewed for another 24 episodes. The season premiered on September 22, 2011, and ended on May 10, 2012. This is the first season where the former main character of the series, Michael Scott, is completely absent.

Season 9 (2012-2013)

The series was renewed for another 22 episodes. In the summer of 2012, it was announced that Paul Lieberstein, mindy Kaling, and B. J. Novak, the series ‘ producers and actors would not be working on the ninth season as writers and producers.
